Karen grew up around animals from the beginning. Her mother raised and showed Cocker Spaniels and her father raised Arabian horses. After college, she worked in zoos as a keeper and then as an educator and wildlife rehabilitator. Karen started her career as a veterinary technician over twenty years ago and has worked with almost every kind of animal a person could have as a pet. She is especially good with cats and enjoys client education. In her off time, Karen enjoys interacting with her own pets (cats, birds), pet sitting, and being outside absorbing nature.
